| The Lady's Place (A poem for Edith) The lady fixes up her place It suits her very well Each room reflects her charm and taste As visitors can tell The soft blue kitchen colors soothe The eyes at morning tea All her special touches prove How warm a place can be Stacks of CD music line The floor awaiting play And it would suit the lady fine If guests would dance all day Around the floor they’d totter As their second childhood calls From charming “Harry Potter” Posters lining all the walls And when the music fades and guests Depart, and she’s alone In her cozy little nest She feels so much at home The bathroom ‘owl’ “hoos” in the night As owls oft prefer The lady’s place is grand, just right Because it’s just like her |
| A Poem by Anne Rosario Can I cry when you are gone? Can I just thank you for everything you've done? Can you just let me love you for a little while? Just enough to make you smile? You gave me something no one could give, To cherish the life that I live You taught me how to love you Never jealous, always true We took the sacred vow of honesty And yet I never really told you The emotions buried in me Is as simple as I love you... |
