| Elham A sweet and young and beautiful child Has gone to eternity She laughed and played and dreamed and smiled And left us her memory She may be playing with angels dear Who welcome her above While those who mourn her wipe each tear And pray for her with love Nothing said and nothing done Can fill the void inside Her family and friends go on With a grief too full to hide But Heaven is where angels belong And I know, with faith restored She wills her kith and kin to be strong For she now holds hands with the Lord |
| The Love of A Child (Inspired by Julia) To be loved by a child is the world’s greatest gift Oh, the boundless joy that it brings When two little arms wrap themselves around you And as you hug back, your heart sings She says “uppies” and holds her hands in the air As I sweep her up willingly She tells me, excitedly, of her “surprise” She drew a picture for ME My home is her gallery, filled with her art Her toys and her pictures abound Her smile warms the hallways and brightens each room And her voice is the world’s sweetest sound If I were to live for one-hundred years And around me great riches were piled I could not do better, nor ask for more Than the love of this wonderful child! |
