| Stu When I first saw Stu, he was playing piano and singing a funny song I did not know the voice was a record and he was singing along He had me believing in fairy tales till I was nearly grown And I never forgot the way he laughed, the memory still plays on How he made me laugh when he played the part of the crazy Professor Kool He made me wish I were a child in his very special school His warm and friendly sounding voice was a household friend to me Giving the weather, community notes, or just “chatting” to me He was right there at the touch of a dial, doing something different each day As a clown, or riding a bid red caboose; oh the many roles he’d play! He was oh, so grand just being himself every day on channel two And this is just my way of saying “It was grand to know you, Stu!”. |
