| Miss Debbie They came to her from everywhere To dance and laugh and sing They found their talents flourished there Nurtured beneath her wing The children learned what they could do She taught them how to dream Then made all of their dreams come true While building their self-esteem Rich or poor, outgoing or meek With her, they were sisters and brothers She made each child feel so unique Yet so much a part of others They never forgot her as they grew For her gifts, they kept on giving And so their children came to her too She made much more than ‘a living’ She made the world a better place For every life she touched And in this humble human race She is treasured very much She nurtures still in her own way All who are blessed to know her For countless people, here I say These words to try and show her She is love She is everyone’s Miss Debbie |
| Vivienne What are teachers made of; To us, what do they bring? A combination of wisdom, patience and understanding What are actors made of; what virtues do they claim? The ability to create with their heart and soul and brain And where communication and reaching others stands A task so full and meaningful left solely in their hands And what the world is made of, in words that seem so few Are people getting better at life because of you |
