| Growing Before Our Eyes There was this little cherub face that looked up desperately As if to say “I promise I’ll love any who’ll love me” And then, the happy kid who had a laugh second to none Who flew a kite with “Mr. Dick”, then played the tailor’s son He grew a bit, and yet the child-like visage could be found Upon a face newly adorned with glasses dark and round For he became “the wizard” film producers rightly chose As every kid of every age in every nation knows Before the eyes of all the world this child has come of age A different face and form is now appearing on life’s stage And yet, this now “young man” is as endearing through and through Just as warm and charming as the “little boy” we knew More mature; but now, as then, so genuine and real That he retains all of his charm and all of his appeal So fans of his around the world are watching eagerly And hoping Danny’s life will be all it deserves to be! |
