| Postscript If I dare to speak your words while praising what you do Pardon, please, my prose and poetry I will gladly note the credit clearly due to you For all the things you do to inspire me We who have a deep respect for gifts that bring us joy Honor those who give with well-earned fame And there are oh, so many ways admirers can employ To share our thoughts with those who feel the same To profit from, and thus exploit, what we do not own Is something most of us would never dare Sparked by that which emanates from you and you alone Our words come pouring out to simply ‘share’ Though our imaginations may be just ‘reflected light’ The light shines warmly on the ones reflected Making forums for our feelings seems natural and right Expressions from and to those so respected |
| An Explanation (For rhymes and song and Harry Potter Days) Where once I wrote and then performed A myriad of things For wages, I was barely so inspired As I am as a volunteer In celebration of These special stories, now that I’m retired I’ve written many words in rhyme And some with melody About the books I urged my friends to read Bought sets as gifts for kith and kin Who read them eagerly And now I’m having much more fun indeed The one reward that matters most Is sharing what I’ve penned Sharing is its own reward, you see And that’s the simple reason for The words I write and sing For every “fan” who loves them just like me! |
