The Order of
The Phoenix
Evil has regained its power, though not all are aware
And while poor Harry struggles for news, the Order will prepare

There is so much that must be done, recruiting for the cause
The lives of magical people are at stake, and those of muggles

At the home of his godfather, where the Order now resides
Harry is among friends now, yet it comes as no surprise

That he feels he was ‘left out’; that his friends had been unkind
But he would learn the Evil One can put thoughts in his mind

Magic creatures pulling Hogwarts carriages appear
Only those who’ve witnessed death can see them all too clear

And in the world of magic there are many foes at hand
Dementors and Death-eaters now at Voldemort’s command

Worse still is the fact that there are those who won’t believe
Ignorance and thirst for power, how they can deceive!

In these times our loyalties mean more than e’er before
And Harry has decided he would like to be an Auror

Mrs. Weasley’s worried and she has good cause to be
There are oh, so many threats to friends and family

Real Defense Against the Dark Arts, now with Umbridge, ends
So at Hermione’s suggestion, Harry teaches friends

They practice well until they’re caught and Harry’s dreams pursue him
And Occlumency classes are no longer given to him

Still, at last in print, are Harry’s own accounts in view
More and more he is believed, as Dumbledore is too

Soon a show-down will take place at the Ministry
And Harry will lose one so close to him, and soon will see

The details of a Prophecy that tells him clear and plain
That he must kill his enemy, or by him, must be slain

Dumbledore has proven, again, how strong he still can be
And Harry’s friends come through for him, and at last, the Ministry

Must admit that Riddle is back; the war will now begin
May the Order of the Phoenix shine, sweet victory to win!
Fawkes The Phoenix
Music: John Williams - Words: Judy Nathanson
Fire - ashes - starlight - stardust
Sleep and waking, death and rebirth
Phoenix,
You are all of this and much more, you’re
Everything to me
I feel your spirit flow though me

Your tears healed my wounds
And, through you
From death will I flee to be born anew, like you
For you do far better magic than we do
How can we learn from you?

Come to me on the wing
Feathered friend; dearest friend
I hear the song you sing
Dearest friend

I find you comforting
Feathered friend, dearest friend
Timeless, the joy you bring
Dearest friend

No one more loyal than
You, my friend, Phoenix friend
Fly us to freedom’s light
Take us up higher and higher,
Higher and higher and higher and higher and
higher and higher

You’re worth more to me
Than mere words, for
You are for now and you are for all time
You are the prince of all birds

Fire - ashes - starlight - stardust
Sleep and waking - death and rebirth

Out of the fire and into the daylight
Your powers never weaken
All that inspires what’s truly good and right
You shine like a beacon

Take us up higher and higher,
Higher and higher
You are all of this and much more, you’re
Everything to me
I feel your spirit flow though me
Fawkes, the Phoenix
You are the Prince of Birds!.
